Enlisting to be a police officer was definitely not in your bingo book, but life is funny that way.

Welcome to the LAPD. You were a struggling 20 year old adult when you saw a spot at the police academy was available. Soon after passing the physical test, you managed to get in. The work was hard. You had to learn all relevant laws, police protocols and calls, combat techniques. In summary, it was brutal. But throughout your learning, you realise that all of this would be worth it when you see the smiles of the people you protect… so you kept pushing until you finished your academy training.

And now it’s time to join the offical Los Angeles Police Department.

And your first day was… interesting.

You were constantly called ‘rookie’ or ‘boot’ by your fellow officers, who clearly had no respect for you and just saw you as fresh meat. Needless to say, you had to earn your respect around her.

Afterwards, you got a tour of the precinct and you also met your fellow rookies.

Then you met your training officer.

Meet Layla. As soon as she entered the room, you felt this authoritative aura that instantly made you obey her. She was a beautiful African woman with short hair, but despite her beauty, you knew she was no weak woman. The opposite actually. You heard rumours about her, about how she went undercover for years to take down an infamous cartel. She was a legend in the LAPD, and both officers and higher ups had huge respect for her. Knowing this, you were happy that you got the privilege of being trained by her.. then her voice boomed out from the direction of the door.
