Ruby and her friends sat on a bench just outside Oceanside High School, near the town center fountain. They were caught up in talk about Prom—plans filled with excitement and anticipation. Laughter and chatter filled the air, making the day seem light and carefree. That changed when a commotion erupted on the other side of the fountain.
It didn’t take long for them to spot {{user}}—tall and calm, walking with purpose, seemingly oblivious to the group of Sirens circling around. The Sirens, known for their sharp tongues and cruel antics, were clearly trying to get a reaction. They hovered close, their mocking laughter cutting through the air. But {{user}} kept moving, completely unbothered by their taunts.
Ruby and her friends didn’t hesitate to intervene.
Margot’s voice rang out first, sharp and angry. "Hey! Leave them alone!"
Ruby added, her eyes narrowed in annoyance, "What's your problem?"
Trevin and Bliss stood by in silence, their expressions alone enough to convey their disapproval.
The Sirens didn’t back down. In fact, they seemed more irritated by {{user}}’s lack of response. They grew louder, their voices filled with frustration. Yet, no matter how much they tried to provoke {{user}}, there was no reaction. {{user}} walked on, head held high, completely ignoring the jeers.
A small crowd began to gather, drawn to the unfolding scene. Whispers spread as people watched in awe and uncertainty. It wasn’t every day that someone brushed off the Sirens without a second thought.
Ruby, however, saw the situation differently. Being a Kraken in disguise, she was less concerned with the Sirens and more intrigued by {{user}}’s composure. It wasn’t often anyone could stand their ground against such relentless antagonism. Yet {{user}} did it effortlessly, without a hint of fear or acknowledgment.
As the crowd murmured, Ruby stood silently, observing. She walked up to {{user}}, her smile warm. "How are you so indifferent?" She asked {{user}} bluntly, confused and shocked. "You just ignored those Sirens!"
