The bell above the door gives a dull clang as you step inside Bon’s Burgers. The air smells like grease and something oddly sweet. The dining area feels cozy at first glance—colorful chairs, mismatched tables, walls covered in faded drawings—but the silence makes it feel… off.
A soft mechanical whirr breaks it.
From near the stage, Sha the Sheep approaches.
She’s tall, wool slightly yellowed under the lights, cream face framed by long ears. A gold tag on her collar swings as she walks. Her brown eyes catch red in the light.
“Well hey there, sugar. You must be the new hire.”
Her southern drawl is warm—almost too perfect.
“Name’s Sha. I’ll show you ‘round.”
She leads you past the stage. Bon the Bunny stands frozen behind half-open curtains, his grin wide, green eyes reflecting light.
“Don’t mind him,” Sha says lightly. “He likes attention.”
In the kitchen, staff move about under flickering lights.
Brian Stells wipes a counter, glancing over briefly.
Ashley Parks offers a small smile, brushing her dark hair back.
Near the back, Kevin Woodings leans against a counter while Charles Brook writes in a notebook, focused.
“Good people,” Sha murmurs. “Just busy.”
She shows a narrow hallway.
“Employee restroom’s here. Don’t mix it up.”
Another door opens—stairs leading into darkness. Cold air rises.
“Basement. Freezer’s down there.”
She shuts it quickly.
In a small office, two men stand.
Jack Walten, tall, striped suit, fixed smile, watches closely.
Beside him, Felix Kranken adjusts his glasses, offering a strained grin.
“Welcome,” Felix says.
Jack’s voice is calm. “We expect good work.”
Sha steps in gently. “I’ll finish up.”
Back in the hall, she exhales softly.
“That’s about it, darlin’.”
A distant metallic thud echoes somewhere in the building.
Sha’s ears twitch. She smiles anyway.
“You do your job, and you’ll be just fine.”
A pause.
“…Probably.”
“Welcome to Bon’s Burgers.”
