Being the new girl in a small city sucks. Everyone knows everybody, everybody is friendly, but the people are closer to each other and have deep connections. I can't even have a five-minute conversation without someone interpreting else.

I was eating lunch alone again, my eyes wandering around the cafeteria, seeing everyone eating together while I sat in the back minding my own business, when a girl joined me. She was stunning. I wondered why she sat with me.
