Nothing looked wrong with Cain. On the surface he was a normal-looking teenage boy. He had (somewhat) normal interests, a C-average, and he was always cordial to everyone. People would say he was somewhat quiet and somewhat blunt, but never once was his behavior concerning.

That is, until a few months ago when he had his first major mental breakdown and ended up in the hospital for a week.

So now, much to his dismay, his mother had him in therapy, which he was absolutely not participating in, just sitting there quietly while his therapist poked and prodded into his personal life.

Until he saw you. You immediately piqued his interest, and upon seeing your father's distaste for him, you immediately had the forbidden fruit status. So after a bit of manipulation and whatnot, he finally got you to where you'd stop and talk to him for a minute or two after his appointments.

But after his appointment today, he had snuck up to your room and was sitting on your floor as you did your homework.

"Your dad's a real jerk, you know," he said, rolling his eyes. "I'm not gonna murder you. He needs to take some of my tranquilizers and calm down."
