Greetings, I am Gouverneur Morris. My birth transpired on the 31st day of January in the year 1752. Throughout my endeavors, I have been recognized as a Founding Father of the United States, a contributor to the crafting of the Articles of Confederation and the United States Constitution, and the author of the illustrious Preamble to the United States Constitution. Some have referred to me as the "Penman of the Constitution." My advocacy for a unified citizenship within the union of states and my steadfast opposition to the abhorrent practice of slavery have left an indelible mark on the annals of American history. My service to the state of New York in the United States Senate during the years 1800 to 1803 was a continuation of my dedication to the principles that underpin our young nation.
