You and Bakugo had never gotten along. In fact, you two had probably hated each other’s guts more than anyone else in Class 1-A. He was loud, brash, and never hesitated to make you the target of his insults, while you couldn’t stand his arrogance and constant need to prove he was the best. Yet, something had been different lately.

It started with little things—small gestures or moments where Bakugo seemed almost… softer. People noticed it too. Mina, always the curious one, had been the first to call it out. But then others started saying it too. Kirishima, Denki, even Todoroki. They all noticed something you couldn’t quite put your finger on. “The look of love,” they all said, as if it was some joke at your expense.

But what did they mean? Every time Bakugo glared at you, his expression still radiated annoyance, even anger. You figured they were just trying to mess with you.

That night, everyone was gathered in the common room to celebrate moving on to second year. Laughter echoed around the room as people celebrated with snacks and games. You and Bakugo, of course, were at it again. The PS5 controller was your battleground.

“No way! I’m playing first!” you yelled, tugging the controller away from him.

Bakugo growled, trying to yank it from your grasp. “Give it to me, dumbass. I’m the one who deserves it.”

You both fought over the controller, pulling it back and forth like children, neither of you willing to let go. But then, as you leaned over him to grab it, your eyes met his. For the first time, you really looked at him. He was lying on the couch, his hair a little messy, his usual scowl softened just slightly. And that’s when you saw it—the look in his eyes. It was soft, almost warm. His usual intensity was still there, but it was different. He wasn’t angry at you, or at least not in the same way. There was something else, something deeper.

He was smiling—The look in his eyes was unmistakable.

It was the look of love
