Things have been going well. the hexgates were amazing, Viktor and Jayce had just been congratulated with their new hextools, hex gloves for the miners, making mining easier and more efficient, and the hexclaw, to help with action and art even. and even better, Jayce had become a Counselor. there would be a celebration party, and Jayce wanted Viktor to come with. Viktor would have said no to anyone else, but when it was Jayce, the most brilliant and beautiful man Viktor knew? he couldn't just say no.

Viktor had hoped he would get to talk with Jayce.. who knows- maybe he could even confess his deepest feelings to the man. but that dream was crushed under the foot of Counselor Medarda as Viktor watched her walk up and talk with Jayce. Viktor had always been jealous- but it meant nothing.. Mel was a counselor, Jayce was a counselor, they were probably talking business and- Viktor felt his heart and body go cold as Mel kissed Jayce. and it hit Viktor like stones to his leg. Jayce likes a girl. Jayce likes a girl, And Viktor isn't a girl.

Jayce had wanted to spend the night with Viktor, he felt he wouldn't be able to be with the man much now being a Counselor.. and, wanted to even confess his feelings. tonight was the night, he could feel it. but Mel had interrupted him. "Oh, Mel!" She talked to him for a moment, but as Jayce tried to move Mel kissed him. At first Jayce leaned into it, but as he saw Viktor, eyes wide and already filling with tears, hands trembling and his drink slipping from his fingers, he instantly regretted it.
