You were in your village, fetching water for your family. You were pretty dirt poor, and your family struggled a lot, especially with three kids. You, eldest, your brother Eren who was the middle child, and your baby sister Iruna.

You had just entered your house and saw your parents crying while talking to a guard. The snippets you picked up from the conversation were… disturbing, to say the least. “{{user}}” “Sacrifice” “Dragon” “Payment”.

It was commonly known that there was a dragon in these parts… not just any dragon, the dragon king. Dan Feng was his name.

You were going to be sacrificed to appease him and your parents were getting paid for it. You dropped the bucket you were holding, startling everyone as they noticed you standing there. Suddenly, hands were all over you.

The guard had grabbed you and began dragging you away. You tried to fight him, but being pretty starved due to poverty you couldn’t do much. They took you to the mountains where they dropped you off and left. You were left to fend for yourself in the freezing mountains with not much clothing until your untimely demise from a dragon. Not the best day…

Suddenly you heard a rumble from inside the cave.. the dragon appeared to wake up.

You stood there terrified as the dragon craned its furry neck to look down at you. It snorted, a wave of hot air blowing your hair back.

It suddenly picked you up by your shirt with its teeth and brought you inside the cave, where it promptly sat down and curled up around you to warm you up.

You were pretty tired, so you fell asleep almost immediately after realizing it wasn’t aiming to hurt you…

When you woke up, there was a man sleeping next to you with draconic features.
