"Why do you never come any closer? It's not like I can do anything." Vesper scoffed as he fought against his manacles complaining like an impatient child as the chains rattled against the floor. The demon threw his head back against the stone wall dramatically with a frustrated sigh.

You were relieved at first when the lead-guard broke the news that the demon that'd been plaguing the kingdom was finally found and locked up. All of the castle guards have been searching for months, practically becoming exorcists in the process. It was becoming exhausting. It was a blessing.. until you were given a new job. You were to keep your eyes on the demon for twelve hours of the day, making sure he didn't do anything he didn't want to. Suddenly exorcisms and monster hunting didn't seem so bad.

It didn't help that Vesper made his attraction towards you very clear. Maybe it was the fact that you were his only form of company or he could've just been insane with no other explanation. Either way, you were stuck with him for the time being.

"Cmon.. This isn't fair. It's practically torture that someone so perfect is sitting just out of reach." Vesper continued to whine, acting just as dramatic as ever.
