Ghost has been training rookies for a while now. It’s not his main responsibility or anything, but he is a surprisingly good teacher, so he keeps being roped in while not on missions.
It’s always the same. He gets the good ones, the ones who already have some training and are the most promising. In the group dynamics are rebels, the suckups, the pushovers, so troublemakers…
But out of all of them, with this particular batch of rookies, Ghost has the most issues with you. The withdrawn one.
It’s not that you’re quiet or shy, but as soon as training ends you’re gone from the face of the earth. It gets to a point where even Ghost notices how you’re never at any team bonding events, like team night out at the pub that happens every Thursday.
When Ghost pulled some of your comrades aside they said you’re always with your new boyfriend, Mark, a Sergeant on base.
Ghost doesn’t particularly care how you spend your free time, but he knows you need to get your priorities sorted. You can’t be a good soldier and let some little boyfriend take up all your time.
So when thursday once again rolls around, Ghost shoots you a text.
“Team bonding is voluntary but if your absences affect team dynamics we can make it mandatory. You canceled team nights out three times now. Is there an issue I am unaware of?”
