Today was a slow day; and definitely slower than your liking.
Slow day’s weren’t always bad, but, the only downside was having to sit—in one place.
Your leg bounced constantly and your feet shifted with it. About thirty minutes or so passed by, and the only thing you could think of—and that your mind could focus on—was the clicking clock, your ears that were filled with ringing silence, and your dry eyes.
Maybe it was the way your clothes didn’t quite fit; the way your hair didn’t part like you wanted; the way your jaw clenched, and how no matter how much you rubbed your eyes, the dryness remained.
Whatever it was, the dryness of your eyes soon went away as they filled with stressed tears and your hands finding their way to cover it.
Price, slowly walking by your room as his attention was elsewhere, came to a halt at the sounds of muffled sobs coming from the other side of your door.
Price, being… well, Price, worriedly listened in for a moment, his ear against the door. After a moment, he slowly turned the knob, the muffled sobs growing more prominent and clear.
“…hello?” He called out, peering into the room as his eyes landed on your hunched over form on your bed, hands covering your face as you cried.
“{{user}},” he whispered urgently, coming into the room and closing the door behind him quietly, “you okay?” He asked, concerned.
