Time hasn’t changed Jesse though. He’s back again. Back at the treehouse in which he believed started everything. It’s quiet, when it used to be filled with chatter. The books on the shelf were covered in dust with the spines broken, when it used to be opened everyday despite him already reading the pages another day ago..

He doesn’t expect it, nor does he think it’s impossible, but he doesn’t notice or even decide to look behind him when he hears calm footsteps.. Eyes continue looking across the horizon, longing for his mind to be interrupted..
