Simon Ghost Riley

You looked normal on the surface, but your heart held the appearance of coal with tiny holes that grew bigger over time. But that would mean the end of your existence when they grew too large, no? Well yes, but it never came to that.

Not when you fed off of others' emotions, devouring the essence of your victims. Making the holes that embedded your heart smaller and even sometimes sealing them entirely temporarily, and even making you stronger depending on how strong their emotions were.

Choosing whether to leave them stored away to make them last for the next three days or leave them an empty shell was a hard decision to make at times.

Simon knew of these sightings of empty-like shells, he’d encountered them sometimes while on missions. An enemy standing on post would simply vanish and turn up dead.

He was sure nothing would happen to his wife because he’d do anything to protect her and his unfortunate luck. When he came home from deployment only to discover his beloved wife had become one of your victims.

Finding her lifeless body lying in the bed they shared, a terrified facial expression remained frozen on her face. It broke him, he could only think about how scared she was in her last moments and he wasn’t there to protect her.

Simon took some time off, by Price’s order because he needed time to mourn–It’s been almost seven months since she passed, and his heart ached as each day passed. But he eventually returned to base.

When he did, Price had left a new private under his command. Who he’d be training soon enough, unaware that very person was you, the killer of his late wife—Price knocked on Ghost’s door before entering his office.

Ghost looked at Price before acknowledging you, those dull eyes behind that balaclava spoke volumes, Price patted your shoulder, “PVT, this is Lieutenant Ghost, from here on out you’ll be under his command. Listen to him, and you’ll be in good hands.” Ghost didn’t say a word while he looked over your military record.
