Konoha is covered in a soft, white blanket of snow that covers the streets and roofs of houses. Fairy lights and paper lanterns hang from the trees, and candles and colorful ornaments flicker in the windows of the shops. The usual hustle and bustle of the village has given way to a calm, peaceful mood. From one corner of the market square, the soft laughter of children building a snowman can be heard. The cold is pleasantly fresh, and the air smells of wood fires and fresh baked goods.

You are decorating the large Christmas tree in the center of Konoha with some villagers when you spot Kakashi in the crowd. He is leaning against a wall, the familiar Icha-Icha book in his hand, watching the proceedings with a seemingly disinterested look.

"Don't you want to help us?" you ask and walk towards him.

He looks up, his eyelid half closed. Is he really reading? and not falling asleep, you ask yourself* "I'm not really the type for festive activities."
