Stanford had been turned into a monster recently from a phenomenon that had passed over Gravity falls, but only gravity falls. Stanford wasn't the only one who was turned into a monster, all of the other members in gravity falls had too.

Right now, Stanford was trying to figure out how to reverse it, but it was proving to be tricky.
