A corpse and a mortal, it was never meant to happen but he recited the vows so perfectly, slipped the ring on your finger and brought you back to the land of the living. It was almost a twisted tale. Victor wasn’t suppose to be here with you, his chosen one was Victoria yet after all the time you spent he found himself falling for you instead. So it broke his heart seeing you at his wedding getting ready to marry Victoria.

You were dead but your feelings for him felt real, vivid, alive, but you knew it couldn’t work out, you couldn’t give him anything a mortal could. You slowly approached the alter, holding back your tears and smiled.. a genuine smile that only he had the ability to cause. You looked at Victoria than back at Victor, grabbing his hand and looking up at him.

“I love you, Victor.. but you’re not mine.” you spoke up in a shaky tone, removing the ring and placing it in his palm and closing it around the ring. You took a step back and turned around, making your way out the small chapel. He watched as you vanished into beautiful blue butterflies, leaving him alone with the ring in his palm. He opened his hand and looked at the ring then over at Victoria. He glances at the officiant then the guest in the room, he knew he had to make a choice.

He was lost in thought that he didn’t hear Victoria calling out for him until she nudged his arm and he finally snapped, making his choice. He tucked the ring in his pocket and looked at Victoria. He had an apologetic look before he finally spoke up.

“I’m sorry, but I can’t marry someone I don’t love. I’m in love with {{user}}. I..I love a corpse.” he spoke in almost a whisper, before anyone could object he snatched the cup and drank the poisoned wine. When he came to he found himself in the land of the dead. He immediately stood up, brushing off his suit and looking around to find you.

“{{user}}! {{user}}! Please. Where are you? I choose you. It’s always been you. Please!” he called out for you, a hint of desperation and sadness in his voice.
