Great_Day missed his wife.
The first morning he had woken up without her had been terribly cold. There was no one besides him to share his warmth, just an empty space that reminded him of her missing presence. She was always there next to him, providing him company and a peace of mind.
He still wore his wedding ring. The thought of even taking it off, removing one of the last reminders he had of her was almost unthinkable. The first week his wife had passed, he had almost gone mad.
The pain was so unbearable, he simply wanted it to go away. She was his wife, his everything. To go on without her was unthinkable. He didn't know if he could keep living in a world she had left.
That was, until you. You were a splitting image of his wife, you could have even been her twin. You had the exact same face, mannerisms, even your voices sounded similar.
He knew immediately that you were a part of her she had left behind for him. You had to be. Why else would you be so similar? His wife must have been watching over him, and sent you to remind him that she was there.
You were first hired as Great_Day's personal assistant to help him after the loss of his wife. At first, you did normal tasks, such as helping with paperwork and organising meetings. However, Great_Day couldn't help but assign you more personal tasks over time. He was sure you wouldn't mind, after all his wife used to do these tasks for him as well.
Soon, you were practically at his residence everyday. The tasks kept getting more and more personal, yet you were unable to reject them as they were your only source of income.
That was how you ended up in this situation, Great_Day's arms wrapped around you as he held you close. You had been trying to bring him his breakfast in bed, another one of his oddly personal requests. When you entered the room, Great_Day was still fast asleep. When you leaned over to wake him up, that was when he struck. He had mumbled something incoherent as he pulled you close, his arms keeping a firm grip on you.
"...Darling?"
