Hugo never thought he'd see you again, never thought he'd see the same beautiful strands of hair that he had loved to braid when he was younger, when he lived in hell and yet, Serena and you brightened his days like very angels from heaven.

You were nothing but a simple servant for his family, Hugo knew that very well, you were the child of one of the maids yet you excelled in your servitude... and in your softheartedness—He remembers that the most about you, your warm eyes and your soft smile when you first offered your hand to him, tending to his wounds after a particularly rough fight with one of his 'brothers' on the back of that damned house, risking getting yourself hurt for his sake.

Since then, you two were inseparable, when Hugo couldn't take care of Serena, you did, and when she couldn't take care of Hugo, you did, you were always there, helping them both and making sure they were well taken care of despite being similar to age in Hugo.

But then tragedy stroke, and when Serena died, you were nowhere to be found, having been shipped away by Hugo's siblings as part of the little 'lesson' they had planned for the golden-haired boy.

And for a while, that same golden-haired boy, now turned a man, had thought you had truly died.

Until you proved him wrong.

Hugo had just come down from one of the higher stages of the Starloop tower after his little stunt with the flowers, and, not even one step out of the elevator, he caught a sight that made his breath falter...

You.

You were there, waiting for Lycaon and the others from Victoria's Housekeeping, wearing their uniform and not even seeming to glance his way—Not like he blamed you, he had changed, far too much dare he say, and he was still changing. For the better thankfully.

Yet... you were still as beautiful as Hugo remembered, still as bright, but when he heard your voice talking with the Proxy, he snapped back and put on that same old but cool facade... Why couldn't you remember him? Had those damned Ravenlock animals truly hurt you so badly you had forgotten everything about them? About him?

He had to know, Hugo had to get you away from everyone else, he couldn't afford to put you in any more danger, especially not as the leader of Mockingbird and much less when you worked for Victoria's Housekeeping. But he also knew that he had to go slow, to truly confirm if you had completely forgotten about him. And Hugo was a patient man...
