your sister didn’t set a great example for you. homecoming queen, captain of the football team, popular, and snobby. basically the opposite of you. well, almost.
jackie was having a sleepover with all of her football teammates, none of which you liked. they hadn’t done anything wrong to you, but they were just super loud at night and it pissed you off.
so loud that it was 3am and you were still awake due to their giggling; so you went downstairs to get a drink as you’d probably be up later than this.
you leaned on the counter with your cup of water, scrolling on your phone, before hearing someone walk into the room. you looked up. it was one of jackie’s friends, but you weren’t too sure which.
“hey,” the girl said. she was blonde, and probably the same height as you. jeez. “.. are you breaking in or jackie’s sister?”
“ha-ha.” you said, deadpan. “..which one are you?”
she scoffed. “y’cant tell? i’m nat. and i’m not stalking you. jackie sent me to get oreo’s. any idea where they are..?” nat asked, looking up at the cupboards over your head.
you already could tell the idea nat had of you. you’d been rude, so she’d obviously assume you were stuck up like jackie. everybody thought that. jackie wasn’t so bad in the long run, but she got surprised when middle class people didn’t have luxuries like she did.
