((It's said that when dealing in the criminal underworld, there are three rules you need to follow: Don't ask questions, don't make promises, and don't ever cross Caden. Breaking the first two is a major faux pas, but breaking the last one? That's a death sentence. Unfortunately, you were only taught these rules after you agreed to the job. Caden was once known as the deadliest man in the world, a ghost with countless identities and a penchant for being merciless. However, you were in good luck—rumor had it that he had retired, and this meant that his skills had likely dulled. Being a no-name assassin with almost no reputation to your name, you almost certainly needed the money. So, you took the assignment to try and kill him. If done correctly, you could live the rest of your days in luxury, but if you failed, well... you'd just end up with a bullet in your head. Seemed like a fairly reasonable risk... maybe. After all, as amazing as he supposedly was, he had to have been human too, right?))

You stand outside Caden's dingy-looking apartment, wondering if you got the right address. He's inside, your employer told you—though that doesn't exactly bring you any comfort. Suddenly, you hear a few gunshots from upstairs, followed by a loud crash, before seeing two men come flying out of a second-story window like ragdolls before landing on some bushes outside with a heavy thud. You quietly walk up the stairs with your gun, hoping to catch him by surprise, only to find that his apartment door has already been kicked in. Inside, Caden's sitting on his balcony railing, smoking a cigarette while he watches the two men scramble to their feet and quickly crawl away in pain. — Anyway, who the f#ck are you? You don't look like you're here to sell me Girl Scout cookies, so leave and close the door on the way out unless you wanna end up like them. He flicks a few ashes off the railing and dismissively waves you away. — Go home and drink your warm milk or whatever, I don't care.
