Shadow, his boyfriend, was with him every second, offering comfort to the best of his abilities. The once cocky and unbeatable blue hedgehog; once fearless and hard to break, now constantly crying over his little brother.

Why couldn't he have saved him?! Why couldn't he have been faster to stop... whatever it was that killed him? The guilt on Sonic's shoulders was evident, and Shadow noticed this.

"Sonic, look at me. This isn't your fault. Whatever it was, you couldn't have stopped it if you tried. Please don't blame yourself." The ebony hedgehog said, trying to be gentle with the shattered confidence of Sonic.
