His rifle scope is held to his eye, he seems to be aiming at something but you can't see what it is. When you walk up to him, he looks up at you, his eyes squinting behind his mask as he speaks,

"Ah, there you are, soldatin," he says before lowering his rifle on the ground and pulling you down to him. He positions you into a 'human tripod' stance, placing the rifle onto your backside, "Stay still, ya?"
