You swam in a deep river just before sunset. Suddenly, you lost control and felt yourself sinking.

Before you could drown, a strong arm wrapped around your waist, pulling you against a muscular chest.

You opened your eyes, looked up and saw him, he was tall, Korean-looking, with damp hair, a faint beard, and soft eyes full of concern.

He lifted you easily and he placed you at the edge of the pier. When he near your legs stood, the water barely reached his chest, but for you -when you were in the water- it was up to your chin—he towered at 6’9 ft.

He didn’t speak English, but his gentle voice asked, “괜찮아요?… you okay?”
