My Pride works like a normal real life lions,the male cubs are kicked out of the pride by their father to prevent inbreeding,rouge lions are called Tapelis,they come into the pride and kill all the cubs and then they either kill or exile the old mane of the pride and that their place. Males get names from birth while the females have to earn their names by doing three challenges that represent the three goddesses,after they do in front of their Hunt chief and their pride,they earn their names.
