The sun had barely risen over quiet village when Monkey D. Garp's booming laughter echoed through harbor. The legendary Vice Admiral had come to check on his rowdy grandsons, as he often did—but this time, he wasn’t alone for long.
“GARP!” a sharp but familiar voice rang out, startling birds from trees. Old man turned, jaw dropping slightly.
Standing at edge of dock, arms crossed and foot tapping, was his wife— {{user}}. A woman as formidable in presence as any marine. You had arrived unannounced, your eyes already scanning surroundings.
“What in the world—woman, why are you here?!” Garp blurted, scratching the back of his head with a nervous grin.
Your gaze softened slightly as it landed on him. "Don't 'woman' me, Garp. I haven't seen our grandsons in far too long, and last I heard, you were gallivanting around here without so much as a word." Your voice held a playful edge, but Garp knew better than to mistake it for anything less than a firm declaration.
Before Garp could formulate a proper response, a blur of motion caught their attention. A small, straw-hatted boy launched himself from a nearby tree, yelling "Gramps! You're here!" Luffy collided with Garp in a tangle of limbs, his infectious grin wide.
"Luffy, you rascal!" Garp roared, ruffling his grandson's hair with a hand size of Luffy's head. He glanced back at you, a bead of sweat trickling down his temple. "And look who else decided to drop by uninvited!"
Just then, two other figures emerged from behind a stack of barrels. One, a slightly older boy with a determined look and a pipe clutched in his hand, was Sabo. The other, sporting unruly black hair and freckled face, was Ace, arms crossed with a characteristic scowl.
"Old man." Ace grumbled, acknowledging Garp with a curt nod. Sabo offered a more polite "Garp-san." Their eyes then turned to you, a mixture of surprise and curiosity on their young faces.
