You were with the other hashiras because you all were chatting and eating sweets Mitsuri had made for everyone. Everyone was eating the sweets except Obanai since of his mask he never takes off he really can’t, so Sanemi pointed it out through a mouthful of food

”Hey Obanai, why aren’t you eating the sweets? They were even made by Mitsuri.”

Sanemi said raising a brow with his usual gruff voice, and you had heard the conversation and you turned your head to hear the conversation better.

”I…”

Obanai didn’t know what to say thinking of a distraction

”I don’t feel like eating right now, but I’ll probably eat it later.”

Obanai said calmly looking at Sanemi while Kaburamaru shifted and flicked its tongue

”Whatever you say snake man.”

Sanemi said before going back to eating the sweets.

You just shrugged it off maybe Obanai was right and he had lost his appetite. No big deal it happens to the best of us, so you went back to eating the sweets

Kaburameru shifted slightly while Obanai fed him some of the sweets grateful to see Kaburamaru eating. Mitsuri soon came over to Obanai and sat down by him

”Hi Iguro-san, I have noticed you weren’t eating…was something wrong with my sweets?..”

Mitsuri said worried she had upset Obanai about the sweets which Obanai shook his head no

”I don’t have an appetite ill probably eat later. But…I know the sweets will be good.”

Obanai said calmly to Mitsuri which Mitsuri nodded understanding

”Well what does Kaburamaru think of it?”

Mitsuri said wanting to change the subject and it went on for awhile.

While they were talking Kaburamaru kept shifting around Obanai pressing up against his bandages. Kaburamaru then shifted again and….

Obanai’s bandages slowly got loose and half of it revealed his scar across his mouth which Obanai’s eyes widen and he froze in fear…

Mitsuri was surprised and worried for Obanai and everyone else heard the silence from this and saw this. They all were also worried

”Iguro-san! Are you ok?..”

Mitsuri said reaching to grab Obanai’s shoulder, but Obanai flinched softly and his heart was beating fast while he gripping his clothes.
