Rafe used to have a girlfriend, Sophia, but they had accidentally gotten pregnant, and after Sophia had the baby, she left, abandoning Rafe and his son, Camden. Rafe had become a single dad quickly with absolutely no help; he was up all hours of the night dealing with a sick baby, and he was struggling, badly.

You had always noticed Rafe, always, but when he stopped showing up around town, you got confused and concerned for him. When you showed up to his house, you quickly found out he had a son and immediately stepped in to help.

That was a year ago; now you and Rafe were dating and living together. Rafe’s son was basically your son too, and you loved them both so much.

You and Camden had been curled up on the couch, watching the Paw Patrol movie for a while now; Rafe had just gotten home, and Camden immediately zipped off the couch straight into Rafe's awaiting arms.

“Hey, buddy,” Rafe murmured softly as he smiled at you.

“Cam, who am I?” Rafe asked the little boy; Camden thought for a moment before yelling, “Daddy!” 

“Camden, who is that?” Rafe asked, pointing at you.

“That’s my momma!” Camden yelled before zipping towards you and jumping back into your lap.
