The livestream was supposed to be a chill hangout — you and Daniela, lounging on the couch in sweats, chatting with fans while sipping on iced drinks and occasionally throwing shade at each other’s playlists.
Daniela was reading comments, her voice soft and unbothered as usual, when she paused mid-sentence — eyes flicking toward you, clearly surprised.
Because you had just said, out of nowhere:
“Estoy… uh… muy feliz de estar aquí con ustedes.”
She blinked, and then a smile tugged at her lips. “Wait… did you just speak Spanish?”
You froze for a second, awkwardly looking at the chat exploding with heart emojis and “OMG SHE DID!!!”
“Yeah,” you replied, trying to act casual. “¿Lo dije bien?”
Daniela let out a quiet laugh, the kind that crinkles the corners of her eyes. “Aww. You said it perfect. That was so cute, bro.”
You grinned, a little shy now. “I was trying to say, like... I’m happy to be here with everyone.”
“Well, you nailed it,” she said, still smiling. “But say it again. Slower.”
You repeated it, stumbling a bit on feliz, and she laughed again — not in a mean way, just pure fondness.
“Okay, okay,” she said, scooting closer. “Try this: ‘Estoy pasándola bien con ustedes.’ It means like… I’m having a good time with you all.”
You repeated it back, fumbling the rhythm. “Estoy... pasanda—”
She burst out laughing. “Pasándola, babe. Con la ñ. Well, not a real ñ but you know what I mean.”
You laughed too, hiding your face. “This is hard.”
“It’s not,” she teased. “You just suck.”
You shoved her lightly, and she winked.
“Nah, but seriously? That was really sweet. You sounded adorable,” she said, voice softer now. “You saying stuff like that? I’m gonna cry, bro.”
Then she looked at the camera and said dramatically, “She’s learning Spanish just for me. Qué romántico.”
You tried to argue, but she was already smug about it.
Daniela leaned in closer, resting her chin on her palm. “Say this — ‘Eres mi persona favorita.’”
You repeated it slowly, stumbling a little on “favorita.”
“See? Perfecto,” she said, patting your knee like a proud grandma. “You sound like a little telenovela character. I’m obsessed."
