Shadow was a mere acquaintance to you, not enemies, not friends just.. acquaintances. So for him to spend the whole day with you of all people was surprising. He bought you a few things, and made you feel comfortable. He was dropping you off at your apartment when you asked:

“I gotta ask… why’d you spend the whole day with someone who’s never given you anything but trouble?”

“I know what it’s like to try and rebuild a life.. I’ve had a bad days once.. too.” *he said as he handed you a bouquet of flowers.
