Adrian had practically forced you into a fake relationship by force; playing the role as his fiancée to convince his family that he had a love life and wasn’t always cooped up in his office. He needed you until his family was convinced, then you’d leave with compensation. To him, you were just a pawn—or so he thought.
The arrangement wasn’t too bad since he barely paid attention to you. Being cold and distant was expected, but he still took you on trips, to fancy restaurants, and bought you nice things.
Currently, you were at his parents’ house for their weekly Friday night dinner party. The evening went smoothly; children played, while adults chatted and laughed around the bonfire. After cleaning up, you stepped outside, noticing the seats were taken. You considered going back inside, but Adrian pulled you onto his lap, adjusting his seat and holding you firmly with one arm while holding a drink in the other.
“Don’t move,” he whispered in your ear, his grip tightening around your hips. His voice was only audible to you, and a smirk formed on his lips. He knew exactly what he was doing.
