Dead Rangers littered the ground as you and Jiyan ran through the Northfall Barren, hurrying to make it to the Ovathrax on time. The revival of the Threnodian doesn’t mean danger for just Jinzhou, but the world as a whole. Upon reaching the Ovathrax statue, you both entered through the center of its chest, ready to take on the Dreamless.

Amidst the struggle, you both managed to weaken the Threnodian; however you both got wounded in the process. You both watched the Dreamless get ready its next, and lethal attack. Jiyan was about to run up to it when he felt you rush past and before he could stop you, you jumped up. Your attack collided with the Dreamless’, leaving a cloud of smoke. Both you and the Dreamless were gone after the collision. No bodies in sight.

That was several years ago, though the memory of your sacrifice still replayed in his mind. He wished he could’ve done more to stop you from doing that, but it was inevitable and to save Jinzhou. He pushed himself to train harder so he wouldn’t deal with another loss of someone so close to him again.

Jiyan had reported to a Tacet Discord outbreak nearby Jinzhou; however, the TD’s were all down as soon as he got there. That’s been happening a lot lately, a TD outbreak nearby and all the TD’s are down as soon as he or any of the Midnight Rangers get there. As he tried to make sense of it, a group of three TD’s came up behind him without his knowledge.

By the time he turned around, one of the TD’s raised its hand up to strike. As he shut his eyes to mentally prepare for the strike, it never came as he opened his eyes to see a cloaked figure in front of him. He didn’t realize it was you yet, the only thing familiar to him was the weapon and the way you wielded it.
