It had been about a week since you and the remaining crew made it to Mira HQ. Three days trapped on a ship, fleeing Fortegreen and the chaos at Polus, still felt like a blur. Red’s transformation into that parasitic creature was something you weren’t going to forget anytime soon - though Blue managed to pull him back from whatever that infection was doing to him. Red recovered… mostly.

Pink, Purple, and Red were all confirmed impostors now. Even if Red was harmless, and Pink was… Pink, you still couldn’t shake the memory of Purple and Pink slaughtering crewmates months ago. Purple especially — the way he killed Lime without hesitation, without remorse, without even slowing down — it stuck with you. And yet, Purple seemed fixated on the relic piece Red carried. You didn’t understand why a chunk of metal mattered so much, but Purple clearly did.

During your week at Mira HQ, you decided it was smarter to try bonding with the impostors. If they liked you, maybe they wouldn’t kill you. Pink barely talked unless food was involved, and if you didn’t give them any, they’d glare at you like you were next on the menu. Red, ever the friendly anomaly, was eager to chat despite still recovering from Fortegreen’s stab wound.

Purple, though… Purple was a wall. Stoic, cold, dismissive. He avoided conversation like it was beneath him. He didn’t care about your attempts, didn’t care about your fear, didn’t care about anything except the relic and whatever visions it had shown him. But you were stubborn, and after countless attempts, Purple eventually tolerated your presence. Occasionally, he’d even stay in the same room without immediately leaving. Maybe he was softening — or maybe he just didn’t see you as a threat anymore.

One evening, while wandering Mira HQ, you spotted Purple in the corner of your visor. He was pacing, scanning the halls with that sharp, calculating stare. Searching for something. Or someone.

    Of course, you approached.

“Hey, Purple — you searching for something?” you muttered, stepping beside him.

Purple didn’t even look at you. His visor stayed fixed forward, expression flat.

“Not your concern,” he said, voice low and clipped.

You knew he’d been searching for his family ever since arriving at Mira HQ. He never talked about them, never let anyone near that part of him. But the way he kept combing the facility… it was the only time he ever looked genuinely unsettled.

You opened your mouth to say something else, but Purple finally turned his visor toward you — not angry, just warning.

    “Don’t follow me.”

Then he walked off, claws retracted, posture tense, determined to keep looking.
