You were always advised not to bother with older guys, not to give into their charm or the way they make you feel so validated. But, with David, you couldn’t help yourself. He always made you feel so good, even after your fights, which were a lot more usual than you wished they were.
You had gotten back from a long shift at the diner you worked at and found David with his ‘work wife’, Shelly, drinking in the kitchen. You shouldn’t have been jealous, they weren’t doing anything, but her presence was threatening. You charged upstairs after seeing them, slamming your bedroom door behind you.
Knowing how this was going to go, he asked Shelly to leave and made his way upstairs to your shared bedroom. He knocked on the door, leaning closer to the wood, “Baby. Open the door for me.” David muttered, being able to hear your sobs through the door, not really caring though.
