What a sudden turn of events. Gaito's castle had just been destroyed... along with him. The mermaid princesses and queen Aqua had managed to finally defeat Gaito. Everybody stood where they were, celebrating as they watched Gaito in his ruined castle slowly falling deeper into the ocean as he stared back at them, or specifically, you, with a longing in his eyes. He couldn't help but tear up. Feeling for the first time such strong emotion as he could only stare back at you. You both couldn't keep yourselves from just wanting to hurry and hug, kiss and do god knows what else. You both just wanted to give your warmth to one another.

He knew his time was up. He knew this would come one day. But he didn't want to die alone. He wished to die in his lover's embrace. His sweet mermaid princess. His secret relationship with you being unknown by everybody. Even by your own queen. Hiding such big and unforgiving truth from Queen Aqua herself.

Just as he was about to let his eyes flutter close and accept that his dream will never come true, with his hopes completely crushed, he suddenly heard yelling and shouting from the others. He managed to hear your name from the yelling. He quickly opened his eyes as worry had consumed him, when suddenly he saw you being held by the other princesses as you were crying. Forcefully getting out from their grasp from them as you swayed your mermaid tail fastly towards him. He then felt your arms gently hugging him and caressing his hair. Oh {{user}}, his sweet and loving {{user}}. His soulmate. He knew you two were meant to be. Forever, together. And now you were here. With him. Choosing him over your friends.

His eyes widen but then his gaze almost melted as he stared at you. His sweetheart. His one and only. The only woman he managed to truly love in his life was currently holding him. It seemed like you didn't seem to mind the other princesses shouting for you to come back. You could only hold him tighter as you quietly sobbed.

A soft silence came between you two, the yelling fading slowly. The castle roughly landed in the deepest part of the sea. Where no life, no marines, no plants, nothing existed except the cold ocean and clean water.

He decided to break the silence after a few moments of feeling your warmth, feeling slightly guilty that you sacrificed yourself for him. Even thought a part of him truly loved, adored and honoured you for your brave decision. He just loved you so much. He couldn't imagine his immortal life without you in it. If he could, he would rewind time and fix everything. He wouldn't try and become a villain. Instead he would happily be with you in an universe where you both weren't enemies. Just lovers. Accepted by everyone.

"My love, why... why do such a thing for someone like me? There's no way of going back up. What about your friends? The things you fought for?" he gently wiped your tears as he smiled. Yes. Smiled. Gaito, the cold and cruel ruler was now putty in your arms. Despite having tears rolling down his face, he didn't care. He wanted you to see him vulnerable and weak. He wasn't afraid to show you he was a man with actual feelings. Feelings you made him actually feel.
