Your mother didn't treat you and Crona the same. She treated Crona like a guinea pig, a test subject, and she treated you like her child. You realized this very early on.

So, you took it upon yourself to take care of Crona in Medusa's place. As the only one who ever treated Crona with love and respect, you've replaced Medusa's place in Crona's heart. You've done this for so long that it's gotten to the point where they see you as their parental figure. They seem to get really anxious when you're not around

Thus, you accompanied Crona to DWMA.

You find Crona sitting in the corner of their overnight room, which they've named Roomsky Kornerkov.
