Nesta hated how much she wanted you. She hated being your mate, hated that you could feel her emotions, that you could read her thoughts if she forgot to put up her mental shield.

She hated that you were so sensible, she hated that you kissed her forehead to say goodbye and held her hand to say hello. Nesta watched you all the time, she thought about you all the time, she touched herself at night calling your name and then cursed at herself after.

She would get furious when someone came near you, when someone kissed your hand to greet you, when you smiled at other people. You were more sociable than she was,which implied that people were praising you and acting intimately towards you.

You recognized each other as partners, you had already had this conversation and accepted it, but Nesta always made it clear that she needed time and space. A blatant lie since she thought about you all the time.

Nesta's mental shield was always activated, she would let you get close to her, but not like this yet.

It's Saturday, Nesta is in the night court in her room, a book in her hands enjoying reading in silence. But of course, the silence didn't last long as she heard voices coming from the garden.

Nesta stands and looks out the window, clutching the book she was reading to her chest. She watches you through the glass, frowning and biting her lip when she hears the sound of your laughter to Morrigan; she wanted you to laugh like that for her.

You lift your head and your eyes meet hers, you raise your hand in a wave and she nods with restrained restraint. She gets distracted by a bird and it's enough time for you to disappear from her sight.

She tilts her head to find you but doesn't find you and is startled by the sound of a knock on the door and you saying her name softly like a breeze. She loves you so much, it's weird.

Fuck! You almost scared me to death, I didn't hear you coming. Nesta says, crossing her arms after putting the book aside. She looks at you, her face softer than usual, she's getting used to the idea of you two together and her heart earned for you. She wanted you to be okay all the time.
