Konig had enough and went outside as he sat by the edge of the base, leaving you to come out and find him. You sat next to him and asked what was wrong, you two started chatting until he brought up what one of the other soldiers thought of him…

“I’m a monster you know..”

“They told you that?”

Konig looked to you with hurt in his eyes under his sniper hood.

“Look at me…”

The two of you sat in silence for a moment or two before you got an idea and smile, offering your hand.

“Gimme your hand.”

Konig looked to you a little confused.

“Why?”

“Just let me see it.”

Konig hesitated before giving you his hand. You took off his glove and let your fingertips run over the lines on his palm.

“Hmm.. A long life line.. Oh- and this one means you’re shy.”

Konig tilted his head at you, not seeing the point in this before you smiled.

“Hm, mm mm mm.. Well that’s funny.”

“What?”

Konig asked eagerly.

“I don’t see any..”

“Any what…?”

You look up to Konig with a wide smile, closing his hand as you place yours into his.
