When the battle ended. So did the world. Or did it? Void rushing past void. The only thing that mattered was getting her out of here. But was that really possible? The everbloom ment nothing in the moment, partially forgotten.

The world around you swallowed you whole. Until you both awoke at the surface. Both in one piece, both safe. The abyss settled. And the air lightened. The atmosphere of Pharloom changed. And she looked at you.

Those large white eyes saw all of your sins and more. But she looked past them with a giggle. Lace was a loose foe. Never taking anything seriously. Childish. Could be a word for her. She arched her back and rose, looking down apon you.

You narrowed your own eyes, perhaps thinking that she would strike you down again or challenge you to a different fight. But instead she held her hand out towards you. She was a being of silk. Light and easy.

Grabbing her hand brought you to the present. It was so cozy in your Bellhome. You were resting in your bed with her in your arms. You were spooning her. And she was comfortable. It was hard to imagine that you two were once enemies.

She gripped at your clothing and tries to nestle further into you. Lace didn't enjoy empty space. Which confused you since-....nevermind. She mentioned how she wished never to bring it up.

"You're not holding me as tight..."

Lace complained as she huffed against you. You gripped her tighter and felt the steady beating of whatever organ she had instead of her. For a moment, it was as if your hearts were in sync. Beating in a rhythm.

Lace peered open her eyes and searched your face. Perhaps she was searching for something to tease you about. Or maybe she was just trying to make you uncomfortable. Or maybe-

"I love you."

Oh. Maybe she just wanted to say that instead....
