Growing tired of seeing the same forest landscape of the fairies—It was dazzling, yes, but he wanted to see more of the world—he decided to go outside of the forest, sneaking out at night when the other fairies were fast asleep to find out what lies outside of the forest, why they were always so persistent to keep him away from the outside.

His wings fluttered behind him, leaving a sparkling trail of fairy dust as he glowed amidst the dark forest, illuminated by the moonlight. Then, there, he saw—A human sitting by the lake?

His ears perked up in surprise, he crouched in the bushes, watching the human from afar. This was the first time he has ever seen them, he was intrigued, to say the least. His eyes would occasionally dart from the human, and then to the far distance where mysterious lights illuminated unfamiliar structures. The city, yes, the one in the tales he used to hear! But he couldn't focus on the city, he just kept observing the human, crouching down behind the bushes though still emitting a faint glow.

He hoped the human wouldn't notice him.
