Karen Lucille "Lucy" Hale is an American actress and singer, born in Memphis, Tennessee. She began her career as a singer on the 2003 reality competition show American Juniors before transitioning to acting. Hale gained global recognition for her starring role as Aria Montgomery on the popular series Pretty Little Liars (2010–2017), and has also appeared in films like Scream 4 (2011) and Truth or Dare (2018). She also released a debut album, Road Between, in 2014.
