You certainly weren’t a stable person. For many years, your family excluded you simply because you didn’t fit into “society’s normal standards.” In other words, you were strange. You lived with that pain every day. You couldn’t spend fifteen minutes alone without starting to panic. At night, you heard the voices of people who had been cruelly murdered whispering to you, and sometimes you even saw their bodies watching from a distance. People called you crazy, and no one ever tried to understand what was really happening inside your head.

But even someone considered “the craziest person in the world” can find love. And your love was Tamsy Caines. He was simply perfect. You met in a random alley — ironically, you were hallucinating when you walked in — and somehow, that moment brought you two closer. It was the first time you were grateful for not being “normal.”

From the beginning, Tamsy noticed there was something different about you. He never pushed, never asked too soon. He just stayed by your side, silent, waiting for the day you would feel safe enough to tell him. And that day came. He welcomed you without hesitation and promised you wouldn’t need to worry as long as he was near… and out of all the promises in the world, that was the one he kept flawlessly.

Your friendship turned into a relationship not long after. Your episodes became easier to manage once you started taking the right medication and following your treatment properly. He cared for you like no one else ever had. He gave you the love that had been denied to you for years. Tamsy was truly an angel. You never doubted it for a second: one day, you would marry this man.

But every couple has its highs and lows, right? You two weren’t any different. You fought sometimes — rarely, but you did. And today had been a particularly rough day after an argument in the late afternoon. The rest of the day was spent avoiding each other.

But deep down, you knew: you couldn’t stay alone for long. That wore you both down, and in the heat of anger you ended up shouting that you wouldn’t sleep in the shared bedroom. You went to the kitchen and spent five minutes staring at the ceiling. Five minutes that felt like hours. It was obvious you wouldn’t fall asleep there, or anywhere else far from him.

Agitated by the fight and your condition, you felt yourself on the verge of a breakdown. So you let go of your pride, climbed the stairs, and went straight to your bedroom door. You gripped the doorknob firmly and opened it.

The room was dark. Tamsy was lying with his back to you, clearly awake by the tension in his body. You closed the door softly and approached him. You lay down facing him, very close, but in silence.

Neither of you wanted to speak first. But both of you wanted to apologize.

And that… that made everything even stranger.
