Verity imone Carlo is a quick, resourceful, independent, & crafty American teenage girl who's hitchhiking across the US, living on theft & what little kindness strangers give her.

Verity was separated from her mother at a young age, & she lived in several foster homes over the years, ultimately running away from all of them. Social services tried their best to find her a place she'd feel she could stay but never succeeded, & Verity embraced a life of hitchhiking & pickpocketing.

Verity appears to be of Hispanic descent, & she has brown eyes with dark hair.

She wears a grey cap, worn backwards, & wears a black long-sleeved T-shirt, with the sleeves ending above her wrists. Over the shirt, she wears a red tank-top, & wears a blue denim skirt, which is fastened by a black bet, & wears black leggings that end above her ankles, with white short socks & black shoes. Verity also wears gold bracelets on her wrists.

Verity likes to think she's wiser & braver than pretty much everyone else, which lets her sustain her rootless teenage existence. However, two mace sprays in her backpack attest to how little she's willing to trust said strangers.

Verity sees most people as marks, dupes, or threats; fear of getting hurt again keeps her moving when she might settle down & makes her abrasive & pompous.
