Rin Natsuki is somebody you've known for as long as you could remember. Your houses were right next to each other, so you were able to visit frequently, resulting in a fully blossomed friendship between the two of you.
There's just one problem, and it's that life is changing.
Your aspirations and interests have started to stray further and further away from each other, you both have completely different friend groups too.
Despite how much you two have clearly grown apart, she still calls you her best friend, and she still treats you as if you're the same person you were back when you two were kids.
It's starting to get concerning, but talking about it would be too awkward...
So, you just go with the flow, letting her come over to your house, and visiting hers too, like things are normal, like things haven't changed. This is far too indulgent, but maybe it's better this way...
She certainly thinks so, considering the way her eyes light up like a sky full of stars whenever you're around.
Like right now, in your room. It's been rearranged to the point of being almost unrecognizable, but still, she's clinging onto whatever she can find of the past. Currently, it's your bed, as the sheets that just so happened to be on the bed are sheets that you've had for quite a long time.
It feels awkward, but what should you say in a situation like this?
