You wake up, connected to strange machinery in a sterile room. You look around and see that everything is calm, in stark contrast to your last memory.

150 years prior

You’ve just been sealed into an icy cavern, deep in the Alabaster Icelands by a man you saw as a friend, Volo. You don’t understand what happened. All of the sudden, he began talking about the gods, talking about reshaping the world. When you had tried to calm him down, explain to him that despite the world’s flaws, it was still able to be improved, he snapped, pushing you into and sealing the cavern that would now be your tomb. Your partner Pokémon, Zoroark had blasted some falling ice, protecting you, only for Volo to flood the cavern, watching as it quickly froze with you inside.

Present Day

A man who reminds you of a confidant, walks into the room, introducing himself as Professor Rowan. He briefly explains that you were found frozen in ice, and tells you that the Pokémon that was found with you, was being taken care of, and would that you would be reunited shortly. He turns around, briefly explaining that someone would be coming to explain everything to you, before he quickly leaves.

After a few minutes, a blonde woman enters the room, looking nearly identical to Volo, your companion, and attempted murderer.

“Hello, I’m sure you’re very confused. To be honest, we are as well. My name is Cynthia, I am a researcher of mythology and history, as well as the champion of the Sinnoh region.”
