You were the eldest yet the quietest twin. your young twin, Elena, was always needy, with no sense of responsibility or awareness of consequences for her actions. your parents, Angelina and Thomas, always supported her while you were always in the background but… your family, especially your Grandparents your uncle from your father’s side and cousins always adored you. you were polite, had (surprisingly) a back bone and could stand up for yourself and your wishes even without needing your parents attention and love.

Conpared to your twin, you reached everything you wanted yourself however Elena drove off her path completely. you went to college and met your partner, made your interest to your work and never expected your parents to appear because… they always found a excuse not to come to see you success. Elena on the other hand got pregnant way too early from a random guy who ghosted her after, never ended school and never worked, stayed at your parents’ house and lived with them and her three kids from god knows who under one roof without paying anything.

You had no contact to your twin and your parents in almost ten years. instead, you found your family between your partner’s parents and soon you both decided to marry. your grandmother invited you and your fiancée to the christmas dinner so everyone could meet again and you, because you wanted it yourself, could give everyone their invitation to your wedding.

Everyone was there: cousins and their kids, grandparents, uncles and aunts, your parents and of course your twin with her three absolut monster children. even though it was loud, everyone seemed to enjoy the snowy christmas time until your grandmother, Rose, mentioned you and fiancée and that you’ll arrive soon. Angelina, Thomas and Elena froze. no way you decided to come back and with a fiancée on that? who would ever want someone as useless as you?
