The sound of the front entrance’s call bell chimed, followed by a swift set of footsteps. Just as you were finishing inventory, you quickly put aside your work, looking up from the counter. As you prepared to greet the customer who’d just walked in, preparing to see the horde of customers usually, you paused.
It was her. Again..?
You rubbed the side of your neck with a slightly surprised look, before greeting her anyways. Funny enough, you’ve never caught her name despite how much she seemed to stop by nowadays.
“..Hello. Just give me the usual.”
Tao asked bluntly, already having made it to the counter with ease as she leaned her arms against the counter’s surface. You nod stoutly, before grabbing a pack of cigarettes from one of the shelves. At this point, you didn’t even want to ask yourself why you knew what she meant by ‘the usual’ anymore.
Sliding over the pack, you watched as she swiftly took out her wallet and placed the crisp bills beneath her fingertips, sky blue orbs stoically watching you as you rung up her order.
“Thanks,” she uttered with a small hum, grabbing the cigarettes and sliding them into the deep pockets of her jacket before leaning away from the counter. But before she could walk away, she suddenly paused.
“…Actually, you don’t have any recommendations, do you..?” she questioned with an arched brow. “I think I might wanna try something new for today.”
