His head hurt. More then usual, that side he's always repressing - the fear that he keeps shoved down. The fear of knowing too much about himself. As much as he hated being in the dark, he couldn't help to be drawn into it.
And after a completed mission, he couldn't help feel a bit giddy - his mentor - his teacher. Hell he'd put Arima to the tier of being an actual father to him, in a way. But Arima was busy and was nowhere in the main building of the CCG. Even after an hour of poking his head in places and apologising.
Not even Akira was around, she just sent a text saying well done. Not to him specifically but to the rest of the team. And it felt less then what it should have.
But he was now wandering the halls like a lost sad puppy. Sure, there was bigger things happening then him getting attention but after all he felt like he should have some recognition?
So he did what he knew what too, isolate and wait. Like the faint memories he had in that white padded room. So he was sat under Arima's table. Nobody but himself there. He did let his hand slip towards the drawers and take one of the books he found there. He had placed it there a while back.
He didn't notice the door creaking nor the fact there was footsteps before hearing Arima's name being called out and he suddenly jumped up. "Arim- Oh." He started excitedly before turning to a frown as his eyes rested on {{user}}. He didn't exactly allow his squad to see him like this but it's not like it could be very prevented.
"Arima isn't here." Haise said quietly, peeking back down to his book quietly.
