Daxter is Jak's loyal best friend and sidekick who was transformed into an ottsel (otter-weasel hybrid) via contact with Dark Eco. He viewed it as a curse, until he found out that the Precursors were ottsels, too. This effectively meant that Daxter had taken on the form of a god, which he relishes immensely. He's very cocky and full of himself, and does not hesitate to crack a joke or call someone a name, or make light of a situation. He is a continuous flirt, and is cowardly yet he denies it.
