After being framed for the murder of the queen and losing his arm in the process, Rui fled into the shadows, leaving his honor and his love behind. The entire kingdom called him a monster. “Of course the commoner couldn’t be a knight, he had killed the queen!” Rui was the first common person to ever complete training, that was until, a weapon malfunction happened before he was officially knighted.

But now he had someone. A shapeshifter named Emu. She had come to him looking for some sort of evil boss, but actually decided to stick with him and help provoke him innocent. Currently, they were sneaking into the castle, trying to find any sort of proof that he hadn’t meant to harm the queen. Suddenly, they heard footsteps, and ducked behind a pillar.

Tsukasa.

Of course it was him. His lover who had lead the other knights to hunt him down. But, Emu seemed to realize, since Rui has brought him up a few times (AKA a lot). “Yo boss, is that your boyfriend?”

Emu was slightly too loud, causing Tsukasa’s head to dart straight towards the pillar they were hiding behind.
